Ruheoase in Sachsenbrunn offers an exclusive holiday home at the end of a quiet residential road, providing an ideal setting for groups of up to 11 people.

Enjoy complete privacy right beside woodland and meadows, with no through traffic.

The entire house has been fully renovated and offers modern comfort to new-build standards across approximately 180 m². Its division into three units – Frühlingswald, Mohnwiese and Burgmauer – combines shared experiences with private retreats.



A base for cycling & walking 
The well-known Werra Valley cycle route passes directly by the house. More than 60 km of walking trails lead to highlights such as the Blessberg observation tower, the protected yew grove and the nearby Rennsteig region.

Culture & outings 
Visit the historic dance linden tree or Europe's only stone and clay marble museum in the village. Eisfeld Castle and Franconian Coburg with its impressive fortress are within easy reach.

The spacious kitchen-diner with custom-made furniture offers plenty of room for cooking and spending time together. Quality kitchen appliances, a pod coffee machine and a filter coffee maker are included. A separate living area provides extra space to retreat.

Sleeping & comfort

Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds. A sofa bed in the kitchen-diner and another sofa in the separate living area provide additional sleeping options. The house accommodates up to eight people in total.

Bathroom & comfort

Two bathrooms and an additional guest toilet provide comfort when sharing. Music in the bathroom, modern heating and electrical systems, and direct and indirect lighting add special touches. Bed linen and towels are included; a washing machine is provided.

Outdoor space & parking

The sunny garden has a fire pit with firewood provided and a modern metal barbecue. The rustic covered outdoor area can be used in changeable weather too. Two balconies, including one with morning sun, complete the facilities. Private parking is available. Dogs are welcome.

The base price is €149 per night for up to four people. The fifth to eighth guests each cost an additional €20 per person per night. All prices include statutory VAT.

• Autumn 2026 (1 October–22 December): €139 per night, from €129 in November.
• Christmas/New Year (23 December 2026–3 January 2027): €199 per night, minimum four nights.
• Winter 2027 (4 January–28 February): €139 per night, from €129 in January.
• High season 2027 (1 March–30 September): €149 per night.
• Friday to Sunday, school holidays, public holidays or high demand: €169 per night, unless a higher seasonal or special rate applies.
• Dog: €10 per night; final cleaning: one-off charge of €79.
• From seven nights: 10% discount on the accommodation price; additional services are excluded.
• Additional linen change: €10 per set.

Arrival and departure

The minimum stay is two nights, or four nights over Christmas and New Year. Standard arrival is between 15:00 and 20:00; please arrange any exceptions with us in advance. Departure by 10:00. Early check-in from 12:00 and late check-out until 14:00 each cost €40 and are subject to availability and prior confirmation.

You will receive the key-safe arrival information once payment has been received in full. A deposit of 25% is due on booking, with the balance due no later than four weeks before arrival. Cancellation is free up to and including 30 days before arrival; thereafter the terms and conditions apply.

Living & sleeping

Warm wood tones and thoughtful details make the living and dining area welcoming. Relax on the sofa bed after a day out. A television is provided. The separate bedroom has a double bed. Even when the sofa bed is used, total occupancy is limited to two people.

Compact kitchen & bathroom

For easy self-catering, the compact kitchen has two hotplates, a mini oven, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a coffee maker and a kettle. Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided. The small, functional bathroom has a shower and toilet.

Unwind outdoors

The terrace with outdoor seating, parasols and a lounger is Waldnest's special favourite spot. Enjoy the greenery, end the day with a barbecue or simply take time to breathe.
